We value our independence and the fact that our publication is produced and staffed by professionals who live in the area and care about what goes on here. We are immensely proud of our coverage of local issues and of the support given by businesses advertising with us that enables it to be published. In the 30th year of publication, that need is still as important today. It was set up in 1992 by four local people who saw the need for a newspaper to cover news and events in the area. The Village Voice is an independent monthly newspaper serving the town of Melbourne in Derbyshire along with other nearby communities.
